The Herstory

Susi Bolender, formerly of Preferred Interpreters, has spent the last 15+ years cultivating relationships in the community. In 2020, after careful consideration of trends in the community, and significant global changes, Susi decided to evaluate how services are provided and how established providers were connecting with clients in an effort to reduce duplication and become more efficient.
The new vision is Sign Referral Services Inc. We work with a small pool of skilled professionals to provide interpreting services, consultation, training and workshops for select clients.

Our Sign Language Interpreter Associates are all registered professional members with WAVLI.

Mental Health Interpreting
Having 20 years experience in human services I combined my training and experience to develop an online course for Mental Health Interpreters. Completion of this course prepares interpreters to specialize in mental health work and adds them to the Registry of Mental Health Interpreters in Canada.
